Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Evenstead Automation collects through this website, why, where it goes, and how you can see it, fix it or have it deleted. It is written to follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Who we are
Evenstead Automation is a trade name of Paras Sharma, a sole proprietor in Edmonton, Alberta. For any privacy question, email paras@evensteadautomation.com. I am the person responsible for privacy at Evenstead.
What we collect on this website
- What you type in the contact form: your name, business name, email address, message, and your mobile number if you choose to give it.
- Your choices: whether you ticked the box to receive text messages, and whether you ticked the box for tips and updates by email. Both boxes start unticked.
- Emails you send us.
- Visit counts: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to pages. It does not use cookies and does not follow you from site to site.
We do not buy lists of contacts, and we do not sell personal information.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your inquiry and to set up a call if you ask for one.
- To text you about your inquiry, only if you ticked the text message box and gave your mobile number.
- To send tips and updates by email, only if you ticked that box. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the website working and see which pages are useful.
Text messages
Mobile numbers and text message consent are used only to send the messages you asked for. We do not share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers are shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages (see below). Reply STOP to any text to stop. See the Text Message Terms.
Where your information goes
We use a few service providers to run Evenstead. Some are outside Canada, including in the United States. Their laws may allow authorities there to access information held by them.

These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for as long as we need to answer you, and up to 24 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If you tell us to stop emailing or texting you, we keep only your name and contact details on a do-not-contact list so we do not message you again.
Information we handle for client businesses
When Evenstead sets up a system for a client business, we handle that client's customer information only to run the system for them, under a written agreement. We do not use it for our own purposes and we do not sell it. We do not access clinical or health records.
Your choices and rights
- Ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it or delete it.
- Withdraw your consent to emails or texts at any time (reply STOP to a text, click unsubscribe in an email, or email us).
Email paras@evensteadautomation.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
